TEA PARTY FOR CHRISTIANS

“We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”  ~2 Corinthians 10:5

Tea Party for Christians is your comprehensive resource for all things Christian and Tea Party. Here you’ll find heavy doses of truth on a variety of topics as well as resources to equip you to inject that truth into your sphere of influence. If you’re a Tea Partier, this site is for you. If you’re a Christian, this site is for you. If you’re skeptical of – or downright hostile toward – one or the other, this site is especially for you. So look around and find what the truth has to offer. And free yourself from the (govern)mental tyranny the Father of Lies seeks to impose on us all.

For a detailed description of my goals for this site, read this post.

THE GUY BEHIND TEA PARTY FOR CHRISTIANS

JONATHAN WAKEFIELD is an average American who lived his first 32 years with almost no political engagement other than voting. But during the financial crisis of 2008, he awoke to how fragile America had become as a result of the expansion of governmental power under both major political parties, and he has since committed to working toward shifting much of that power back to the People. As a political independent, he has been a leader in the Tea Party movement since 2009, serving on the Board of Directors of the Richmond Tea Party in Virginia. He has been involved in helping craft and push for the passage of various legislation, organizing numerous rallies and events of all sizes, and publicly advocating for Tea Party principles, including interviewing on GBTV, PJTV, Tea Party Express Radio, NRA radio, and others.

Professionally, Jonathan is an information technology specialist and a freelance writer. He blogs regularly on political and religious topics and has written for an array of print and online publications, including the Richmond Times-Dispatch, Broadsidebooks.net, Redstatevirginia.com, The Christian Post (Bindings), New Man, Men of Integrity, Live, and Christian Fiction Online Magazine. His book, Saving America: A Christian Perspective of the Tea Party Movement, is a book he didn’t want to write, but felt compelled to in the face of America’s current crises. He also writes apolitical fiction. His short stories have appeared in The Rose & Thorn and The Messenger, and his debut novel, Fatal Reality (a thriller), was released in 2011.

Jonathan lives in Richmond, Virginia with his wife and three sons. In addition to www.teapartyforchristians.com, he manages the website www.jonathanwakefield.com.

I Share Sonnie Johnson’s Reaction About Obamacare Advocates Doing “God’s Work”

Recently, President Obama told his supporters advancing the cause of Obamacare that they are doing “God’s work.” It will surprise exactly zero of you that I wholeheartedly disagree that a government program eliminating health care options for struggling Americans, dramatically increasing their costs, reducing wages and the workforce, and forcing more people to depend on […]
